In continuation of constituting the new government, President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf last night released additional names of men and women for various portfolios in the cabinet, public corporations and autonomous agencies.
Topping appointments for the cabinet portfolio are J. Christopher Toe, Minister of Agriculture and Edward McClain, Minister of State without Portfolio.
According to the release highlighting the appointments, other deputy cabinet positions have also been filled. The two deputy positions named include the deputy ministers for Administration and Operations at the Ministry of National Defense respectively to be manned by Othello Warwick and Dionysius Sebwe.
While not much is known about Mr. Warwick, it is common knowledge that the ace footballer, Dionysus Sebwe served in the Lone Star as one of the main live wires of some of its major successes in continental and global competitions.
In other appointments, renowned human rights lawyer and political activist, Tiawan S. Gongloe is named Solicitor General of Liberia; while T. Darlington George is Aide de Camp to the President of Liberia.
Also according to the release, Richard Tolbert is named Chairman of the National Investment Commission (NIC); Christopher Massaquoi, Commissioner of the Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization (BIN); Fombah Sirleaf is Director of the National Security Agency (NSA) and Williard Russell is the Director-General of the General Services Agency (GSA).

Appointed also as deputy directors in various public agencies are Abla Gadegbeku Williams, at the Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization; Marc Amblard is for Administration at the National Security Agency; Alfred Karlay and Gayflor Tarpeh are for Administration and Operations respectively at the Liberia National Police (LNP).
Other deputy directors named include Richard Fallah for Administration at the General Services Agency (GSA); James D. Hallowanger and Ashford Peal for Administration and Operations respectively at the Special Security Service (SSS).
In a related development, the President of Liberia has also constituted an Ad Hoc Supreme Court to conduct the affairs of the Judiciary pending the reconstruction of the Supreme Court of Liberia.
Those named on the Ad Hoc Supreme Court of Liberia include Cllr. Yusuf D. Kaba, Acting Court Administrator of the Supreme Court is appointed to serve as Ad Hoc Chief Justice of Liberia. Also on the Court are Cllrs. James W. Zotaa Jr. and Karboi Nuta
Dionysius Sebwe
According to a release from the Mansion, the President yesterday met with the Ad Hoc Supreme Court justices and emphasized the importance of ensuring the smooth functioning of the Judiciary. She called on them to work for the speedy and transparent administration of justice in Liberia.
It can be recalled that the duration of the CPA controlled Supreme Court of Chief Justice, Henry Reed Cooper phased out with the induction of the Unity Party led administration of Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf on January 16, 2006.
