President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf continues to make more appointments in government barely a week in office.
An Executive Mansion release under the signature of Morris Dukuly, the newly appointed Chief of Office Staff at the Executive Mansion, the President has submitted her second list of cabinet and other nominations to the Liberian Senate.
Those appointed, according to the release are Jeremiah Sulunteh, Minister of Transport, William C. Allen, Director-General of the Civil Service Agency, Augustine Ngafuan, Director of the Budget, and Pete Norman, Deputy Minister of Commerce.
Others are Walter Wisner, Deputy Chief of Staff at the Executive Mansion, Yvonne Stewart, Director of Passports & Visas, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Michael P. Williams, Director, Freeport Security, Joseph Kerkulah, Deputy Commissioner for Administration, Bureau of Immigration & Naturalization, Momo Johnson, Deputy Commission for Operations, Bureau of Immigration & Naturalization and Jerry Blamn, Director of Security, Bureau of Immigration & Naturalization.
Meanwhile, the release said the President has also appointed the Managing Director and Board of Directors of the Forestry Development Authority.
The release named those appointed as John T. Woods, Managing Director, Forestry Development Authority, Edwin Zelee, Chairman, Board of Directors, Forestry Development Authority, Bismarck Kuyon, Member, Board of Directors, Forestry Development Authority, and Anyaa Vohiri, Member, Board of Directors, Forestry Development Authority.
Others are Samuel Thompson, Member, Board of Directors, Forestry Development Authority, Carney Wessoh, Member, Board of Directors, Forestry Development Authority and John Cooper, Member, Board of Directors, Forestry of Development Authority.
At the same time, President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has also appointed Harry Greaves as Managing Director of the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company (LPRC).
Prior to his preferment, he was named to the membership of the Board of Directors of the LPRC.
The man named to head the Ministry of Transport is a member of the National Democratic Party of Liberia (NDPL) who also contested the presidential elections as Vice Running Mate to former Presidential Candidate, Winston Tubman.
After the first run of the elections, Sulunteh put his weight behind Madam Sirleaf, contrary to the party's position to support CDC's George Weah.
Also William C. Allen, who is named to head Civil Service Agency, is the present Minister of Information who was appointed to the post by the erstwhile transitional government.
