Nairobi — The more than 2,000 people recently evicted from Mt Elgon forest will be resettled, local district commissioner said yesterday.
The victims would be considered alongside other 8,000 applicants who
were being vetted to be resettled on 900 plots at Chebyuk settlement
scheme, said Mr Mohammed Rashid. "The beneficiaries will be allocated
five acres each," he added.
