Addis Ababa — A workshop organized on the eve of the launching of 2006 Sanitation
Year by Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Ethiopia Campaign yesterday
called on the media to increase the quantity and quality of their
coverage on sanitation and hygiene issues.
According to a document made available at the workshop, nearly 1.8
million and 250,000 children die annually in the world and Ethiopia
respectively from sanitation and hygiene related problems.
