Lagos — Former Super Eagles and Togo national team coach Stephen Keshi received a loud ovation as he stepped out to receive the Glo-CAF coach of the year award.

The reaction of the crowd inside the Conference Centre Abuja, venue of the ceremony was an irony in view of the controvery over his purported dismissal as coach of the Togo national team.

Keshi emerging the best coach on the continent was deserved following his historical qualification of the Togo national team for the World Cup final for the first time.

Although the president of Togolese Football Federation. Rock Gnassingbe has refused to confirm his dismissal, Keshi's fate is still uncertain.
