Uganda: Army Will Respect Poll Results, Says Kulayigye

Arua — THE army yesterday came out strongly with assurances that it will not stage a coup to overturn results of next week's elections even if the poll does not favour the incumbent, President Yoweri Museveni.

Under the Constitution, a seating President is the Commander -In-Chief of the armed forces and they pay allegiance to him or her in defence of the country's interests.
