Johannesburg — JOSEPH Kabila, asked by the SABC in a television interview last week whether he would accept the result of the Democratic Republic of Congo's June election if he lost, gave what could best be described as an evasive answer.
The fact that the reporter involved let him get away with it is neither here nor there. What is important, however, is the questions it raises about the post-election scenario in one of Africa's most troubled countries.
