Kampala — GENDER activists have criticised the national policy on Information, Communication and technology (ICT) for overlooking the gender perspective.
Aramanzan Madanda, a lecturer in the department of Women and Gender Studies, Makerere university, said the policy was gender insensitive, as it did not express concerns of men and women.
He said this at a seminar organised by Women of Uganda Network recently.
Angela Nakafeero, a gender consultant with Development Alternative Consult, called for the review of the policy to recognise communication as a right and public good.
