Harare — THE Premiership season kicks off tomorrow and Premier Soccer League chief executive Chris Sambo has until the end of today to reveal or unveil the sponsor for the league as he promised us after the PSL annual general meeting.

We heeded his call not to panic as the sponsor and the package would be announced before the start of the season and we have done just that fully aware that the chief executive or the league have until 5pm today to live upto their promise. The Charity Shield was called off at the 11th hour and the challenge for PSL is to make sure that the match is played and has a sponsor amid genuine fears that Innscor have lost interest following their decision to sponsor the Highlanders-Dynamos friendly match at Barbourfields last week. Pessimists fear that the $400 million that had been meant for the Charity Shield and taking it to Barbourfields was a clear sign that they have pulled out although there is no signed document to bind them in the first place.
