Asmara — The Eritrean Community in Abu-Dhabi, United Arab Emirates held its 5th Regular Forum under the theme "all efforts for safeguarding the nation's sovereignty and maintaining its development".

Following in depth discussions on issues pertaining the Eritrean community's social, financial, cultural, and sport's activities in addition to conferring challenges overcome by members of the Community, participants of the forum highlighted significant programs for their community and elected a 5 member committee that will serve till the next term.

Commending the impressive role the members of the community are playing in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty and supporting drought victims and families of martyrs, the Eritrean Ambassador to the UAE Mr. Osman Mohammed Omer during the forum called on the ERI-COM to strengthen their efforts in improving the social, cultural and overall living standards of members of the community.

The participants furthermore reaffirmed their commitment in fulfilling whatever is required of them in meeting all government outlined development programs and preserving the nation's sovereignty.
