Zambia: Nkana Fc Buy Four Congolese Players

Lusaka — In their campaign to shoot back to Premier Division, Nkana Football club have acquired four players from the Democratic Republic of Congo. And Nkana today play DRC team New Soger in an international friendly at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.

Manager of the four players Joseph Mwanza confirmed the acquisition of the players by Nkana. The players include two strikers, one attacking midfielder and a defender.

"Nkana have bought the four players namely Mulongo Kambunda, Cherry Lubamba, Fredie Mukandila and Singis Nzuzi," Mwanza said. And Mwanza added that he had secured the match between Nkana and New Soger in a bid for Nkana to rebuild the team which was once a force to reckon with.

Mwanza added that Soger will also play Power in another international friendly this week.

New Soger earlier in the year beat Zanaco 2-0 but lost to Zesco United 3-0 in a four team mini-tournament. Nkana recently appointed a new executive to run its affairs after the dissolution of the previous administration.
