Eritrea: Student Festival in Agordat Town

Agordat — Student festival was held in Agordat town from 7 to 9 April under the theme "Our students Our Future."

The 3-day festival that was organized by the branch office of the Ministry of Education and the regional NUEYS office featured different cultural shows, art exhibitions and general knowledge contests as well as various sports activities.

The Festival aimed at nurturing efficient youths and inculcating national feeling and culture, encouraging the values of education and work as well as underlying the role of student youths in national development endeavors.

Reports indicated that the festival, as part of the Eritrean curriculum, would play due role in enhancing the participation of students in the development process.

Around 15,000 people took part in the 3-day festival.
