Luanda — The chairman of the college of bishops of Central Africa Conference of the United Methodist Church, Angolan rev. José Kipungo, left Tuesday for Bujumbura (Burundi) to chair a meeting scheduled for May 06-07, Angop learned.
The Angolan bishop told Angop in Luanda that the meeting aims at preparing and organising delegates and candidates to the extraordinary session of the mentioned conference, scheduled for early this month in Zimbabwe.
According to him, the extraordinary session has been called due to the death of bishop Ndurecimpa, with East Africa Annual Conference and elect his successor.
"I have been invited to chair the session due to the impossibility of my colleague who leads the Eastern area," said Angola Bishop. The mentioned conference is made up by Burundi, Kenya, Sudan, Uganda and Rwanda.
