Angola: Cunene - Namibia Expels 128 Angolan Citizens

Ondjiva — One hundred and 28 Angolan citizens were expelled by the Namibian authorities, in the past three months of the current year, due to being illegal in that SADC country.

The repatriation was carried out through the Calueque and Santa-Clara border posts, Cunene province.

According to a statement delivered to ANGOP by the Department of Migration and Foreigners Service (SME), in the same period, a young Angolan girl was repatriated by South African authorities, via Namibia, due to being illegally in Cape Town.

The document also mentioned that SME in the ambit of the voluntary repatriation programme registered the return of 18 citizens from the Oshire centre (Namibia) to the provinces of Huíla and Huambo, under the responsibility of the High Commissioner for Refugees.
