Ghana: Ex Black Star, Paa Nii Lutterodt is Dead

The Death is announced of Nicolas Paa Nii Halm-Lutterodt, a former player of the national soccer team- The Black Stars, Accra Great Olympics and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

He died in New Jersey, US on July 18 at the age of 68 after a protracted illness.

Popularly known as Paa Lutterodt or The Fox, he was a member of the victorious Black Stars team that won the African Cup for the second time in Tunisia in 1965 alongside Addo Odamttey, John Naawu, Osei Kofi, Oman Mensah and Frank "VC 10" Odoi among others.

Paa Nii Lutterodt played for Great Olympics for eight years before ending his career with Asante Kotoko after two seasons when injury knocked him off the field.

According to a family spokesperson, funeral arrangements will be announced later.
