Uganda: Health Threatens To Sue Nema Over DDT Use

Kampala — THE Ministry of Health is ready to go to court to secure clearance to use DDT to control malaria in case the National Environment Authority fails to give it green light to use the anti-mosquito chemical in the country.

The Director of the Malaria Control Programme in the ministry, Dr John Bosco Rwakimaali, on Monday said if "the present generation fails to use DDT, future folks would condemn us for ignoring to use this most effective method of intervention against malaria."
