East Africa: EA Women MPs to Curb Child Trafficking

Kampala — Members of the East African Women Parliamentary Association are to discuss methods of curbing child trafficking carried out at inter-country borderlines and international airports in the East African region.

According to Agnes Akiror Egunyu, child trafficking has taken on alarming levels that all stakeholders have to be actively involved to eliminate the vice. "We shall address the issue of child trafficking with our fellow members of the East African Women Parliamentary Association (EAWOPA) at the next East African Women Parliamentary Summit," Egunyu said.
