Luanda — The new representative of the World Bank to Angola, Alnerto Chueca, met Thursday here with journalists of some media organs, Angop witnessed.
At the meeting were representatives of the state-run Angola Press Agency (Angop), Jornal de Angola, RTP Africa, Radio Nacional de Angola and UN Radio (IRIN).
The meeting served for the WB official to acquaint with the journalists covering matters related to his institution on the Angolan society.
"This briefing has nothing to do with my official presentation, which will take place soon," he explained.
Alberto Chueca seized the occasion to praise the progress made by Angolan Government, mainly in social, economic and political fields, and learn about the articulation of the media in the coverage of concerned matters and the scope of each organ and their constraints.
In their turn, the journalists learned about the cooperation between Angola and WB, mainly the future financing of projects, the institutional aid and bilateral co-operation.
Alberto Chueca, 42, a Spaniard, is a senior economist with the World Bank he has been working since 1997. He will be officially presented in Angola in September this year.
