Johannesburg — DESPITE macroeconomic factors pointing to a slowdown in the growth of new vehicle sales, the local car industry reported record sales last month and is on course for another record year of growth.
Figures released by the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of SA (Naamsa) yesterday showed new vehicle sales rose to 59828 units compared with 53182 in the same month last year, with record numbers sold in all sectors of the industry.
