Eastern Province — There was drama last week in Rwamagana town as students from the Rwamagana Mission School mobbed a skimpily-dressed, leaving her half naked. According to an eye-witness, the youthful woman's woes began when she tried to resist intimidation by over one hundred rowdy students.
"They (students) met this lady who was clad in a mini-skirt and one of them started teasing her about how she was dressed. The lady was infuriated by the jokes that she tried to hit the young boy. This was the beginning of her problems," the eyewitness said.
He said that the woman sought refuge in a kiosk, but that the pupils camped outside and refused to leave, demanding that she be handed over to them.
He added that sympathetic people gave other clothes to the woman and then whisked away to a nearby taxi.
"I think this will be the last time she ever dresses in such attire. It is totally unbecoming for a woman to dress like that," one of the students said.
