Tanzania: Vodacom Enhances Police Communication

Arusha — The police force in Arusha has received five wireless phones from Vodacom cell phone company headquarters in Dar es Salaam for easier public communication within the region and with the police force headquarters.

Regional Police Commander, Basilio Matei said the donated sets are ordinary desktop ones that are electric charged and can use dry cells in case of power failure. One set will be kept in the police station's charge room office (CRO) awaiting public calls.
