Nigeria: DPR Holds Safety Confab in Calabar

Lagos — The Department of Petroleum Resources [DPR] has concluded plans to hold its 12th Biennial Health Safety and Environment [HSE] conference in Calabar, Rivers state between 6th and 8th November this year.

The theme of the three-day conference is "Securing the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry-the HSE Perspective" and it will have in attendance participants outside the shores of the country. Anthony Chukwueke, the Director of the Department of Petroleum Resources, told newsmen at the weekend in Lagos that the objective of the conference is to ensure good health, safety and environmental performance by the operators of oil and gas in the country.
