Banjul — The ruling APRC party is already warming up for victory celebrations at the July 22nd square in Banjul. Many supporters assured AllGambian that their party is poised to win and nothing can prevent this in God's power.
In his last televised broadcast, the Gambian leader called for calm and maturity during voting. He also promised to work for Gambians when voted into office.
The three last days of the campaign showed the involvement of the First Lady Zeinab Yahya Jammeh. In some of the rallies she donated items on behalf of the Jammeh Foundation that she heads.
The President ended his campaign in the capital, where he was received by the youth militants. According to a GRTS (national television) reporter it was a unique meeting, because it enabled Bala Garba Jahumpa (action man) to break his long silence since the campaign proper started.
The I.E.C (electoral body) is likely to announce the results before mid day of Saturday. Unlike before, this time around they have provided counting centers in all the forty eight constituencies in the country.
