Ethiopia: Selam Nursing College Graduates 49 Nurses

Addis Ababa — Selam Nursing College graduated 49 nurses yesterday.

Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Hassen Abdella handed out diplomas for the graduates and special award for outstanding students.

Hassen said on the occasion that the college is a pioneer to curb the problem of skilled manpower encountered in the health sector.

College Dean Sister Bayech Tsega said during their three-years stay at the college the students followed technical education and received basic skills the profession requires.

The dean added that since the education the college provides focuses on making students knowledgeable, ethical and that would solve problems encountered in the sector.

Two of the graduates were reported to be males.

Selam Nursing College graduated 238 nurses since its establishment in 1991 E.C.
