Kenya: Rights Group Wants Israeli Embassy Moved

Nairobi — NAIROBI, September 22, 2006 (CISA) - A leading human rights lobby group is demanding for the relocation of the Israeli Embassy in Nairobi.

The Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) says the embassy is in a busy residential and business area. "The so-called security measures around the Israeli Embassy constitute a violation of the right to free movement by Kenyans and visitors alike," said a press statement signed by Mwambi Mwasaru, KHCR acting executive director.
