Brazilia — Brazil has been an Angola's strategic cooperation partner, even in the country's worst situations, said Friday here the Angolan outgoing ambassador to Brazil, Alberto Neto.
The diplomat also highlighted the need for deepened economic diplomacy with a view to the mobilisation of Brazilian businessmen into investing in Angola.
Alberto Neto defended the strengthening of bilateral cooperation, taking into account the know-how of the Brazilian economy.
According to the ambassador, Brazilian companies must make direct investments in Angola, rather than just rendering services.
Angola and Brazil enjoy strong relations of cooperation in various fields, "with our country benefiting from funding through credit lines," the diplomat said.
Brazil was the first country to recognise Angola's independence on November 11, 1975.
