Monrovia — Residents of Monrovia who are beneficiaries under the Emergency Power Program (EPP) have been urged to obtain power legally and pay their bills so as to increase the capacity of the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) to make power available to many, President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf appealed yesterday.
The President's appeal was made at the commissioning ceremony of a 1,000 kilowatts Kru Town Plant at a program held on the compounds of the LEC head office in West Point. The plant provides power to the suburb of West Point, a poor fishing neighborhood and parts of central Monrovia.
