Ghana: The Porn Factory At KNUST

opinion

Accra — Why the KNUST has branded itself as a porn studio is amazing: from the star 'stripper' on stage to the budding porn stars on stage! The ghosts of consensual pornographic home videos are out in broad daylight. The next time you chance to watch one, just pray that it is not your mother, sister, girlfriend, fiancé or wife!

Some people have already had the misfortune of seeing their relatives in such acts and have been powerless to react as the recording openly betrays the complicity of both 'actors' as the camera pans and reveals the female obey verbal instructions for the eye of the camera.

Personally, I have had the chance of seeing many of such videos involving women I respectably know in similar memorable consensual fornicating and adulterous situations, only that they have not landed on the internet yet. In a clever way, the men do not record their faces so only the woman can be recognised except in the present KNUST case.

Ironically, there are respectable people in high places in the country that are in the act of recording own performances with other men's wives, girlfriends, concubines and courtesans for use to counter any potential blackmails by their consenting partners. Imagine the home video of yourself or your wife surfacing as you/she contest/s some political position or other. Of course, if you are not a prostitute or in the business of 'kiss and tell' you would definitely not want the Ghanaian population including your relatives and the rest of the world to watch you moaning and pulling your hair out as you enjoy another bout of staged sex, however gratis. The latest KNUST lady must catch the next flight to Miami, get some plastic surgery done and acquire a new identity never to be in that posture again since her contours and moaning might give her away. Definitely, a husband in Ghana may remain a dream, not even in the church as a chrifey

It is no longer a secret that our generation of men and women are up to all sorts of amateur sexual conundrums. What have transpired as a private recording of mutually gratifying flashback of self-performances is being circulated as home videos. Public Agenda published in the 30th June, 2006 edition under the title 'A JOB=CV+SEX!: "There are now home videos of young Ghanaian 'porn stars' being distributed in the country. Hardly do these women know that they have been performing in secret camera". Here we are, the truth will always out and it will!

How many judges will convict the distributor of any of the two types of videos mentioned above: the consensually recorded one or the secretly recorded one? And if the consensual one was not meant for public consumption what does it amount to? In fact, any woman will deny consent or complicity if the video ends up in the public domain and any man will admit consent or complicity of the female. In the present case of the pornographic duo or trio on the KNUST campus which of the budding stars is traumatised? I am not sure how much sympathy this will generate but what will you recommend if the lady was your sister? I would pat her on the back and nominate her for the Gong Gong Awards. WHAT AN ADVERT!
