Nigeria: FEC Ratifies New Maritime Boundary With Benin Republic, Approves 2 Gas Turbine Plants, Others

Abuja — The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has ratified a treaty between Nigeria and Benin Republic, which extends Nigeria's maritime boundaries beyond 200 nautical miles.

The treaty spells out the equitable sharing agreement of resources in their common boundaries and advocates for negotiations any issues that could result in dispute.
