Mendefera — An 11-member group from "Physicians for Peace" has extended assistance of surgical and other different medical equipment and drugs to Mendefera Referral Hospital.
The group also conducted surgical operations to 30 patients and exchanged experiences with Eritrean doctors in the region. The group leader, Dr. Haile Mezgebe, called on fellow Eritreans abroad to provide similar support in medical and other domains.
Moreover, the group gave lectures on the supervision required after heart surgery and other related topics.
The Administration of the Southern region hosted a luncheon for the group, during which the regional administrator, Mr. Mustafa Nurhusein, commended them for the assistance. He also called them to continue this noble gesture.
