Gondar — A Canadian expedition, which starts tour from Egypt to cross nine African countries via vehicles under the theme "Small World Big Picture Expedition Africa", has been visiting Ethiopia's historical and cultural relics, the Ministry of Information said.
Ministry Information and Public Relations Department told ENA Friday that the expedition arrived at Metema, North Gondar Zone of the Amhara State, last Tuesday via Sudan.
Members of the expedition have visited historical sites around Gondar town and the monasteries on Lake Tana, it said.
Arriving in Addis yesterday, the delegation would visit floriculture farms in Oromia State as of today, the ministry said.
The department said that the expedition would continue its tour in Kenya after paying similar visit to Dire Dawa, Harar, Arba Minch, Konso and Yabelo areas.
The expedition is being transmitted live by one of the TV channels in Canada, it said.
The expedition was organized by Algonquin College and Canadian Adventure Production in collaboration with Ontario State Schools' board.
