Angola: Angola And China Co-Operation Highlighted

Shenzhen — Angola's Prime Minister, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos Monday stressed the importance of co-operation between his country and People's Republic of China, in the current phase of national reconstruction of Angola to guarantee the country's economic development stability.

Speaking from Shenzhen city (China) at a meeting with the municipal executive vice-prefect, Fernando da Piedade discussed the possibility of companies from various sectors, including telecommunication to invest in Angola.

The Angolan Premier stressed that infrastructures need to be rehabilitated, as well as improvement of energy and water supply systems, agriculture, fishing, and training of staffs. "We also need your experience to improve our services in general", affirmed the Angolan official, referring himself both to the undertaking and scientific spirit, as to the working capacity of the Chinese people.

He also guaranteed the readiness of the Angolan Government to continue working in order to strengthen the co-operation between both States. "We are open to your advices and embrace together the means of reinforcing this co-operation, stressed Nando.

On his turn, Shenzhen's municipal executive vice-prefect, Liu Ying Li, narrated the history of the city, stressing the various phases it endured before achieving the current condition.

Fernando da Piedade on Monday visited Huawei Technology Company and, was surprise with the sector's development, one of the major suppliers of the world's telecommunication equipment.

In 2004, Huawei Technologies set up its representation in Angola, and the following year the branch Huazwei/Angola.
