Nigeria: Twist in Anambra, Panel Resumes, Targets Etiaba

Awka — The seven-man panel set up by the Chief Judge of Anambra State, Hon. Justice Chuka Okoli, to investigate the allegations of gross misconduct leveled against former Governor Peter Obi and his deputy, Dame Virgy Etiaba, rounded off its public sitting yesterday with an indication that despite the inauguration of Etiaba as governor, the spectre of impeachment hunting the state had not cleared.

Chairman of the panel, Mr. Chinedu Oranuba, at yesterday's proceedings, explained that the panel reconvened to deal with the five allegations of gross misconduct leveled against the new governor while she was deputy governor.
