Nigeria: NTA and FNESCO Organise French Competition

Lagos — In a bid to encourage the learning and continuity of French Language in Nigeria, the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), in collaboration with the Franco-Nigeria Educational and Socio-Cultural Organisation (FNESCO) has introduced a national schools competition in French ('SACHEZ-LE').

'SACHEZ-LE ' according to a Deputy Director at the NTA, Mrs. Cordelia Eke is a programme aimed at the popularization of French language in Nigeria and also to foster good neighbourliness among member states. She said the programme will help in popularising French Language in Nigeria. It involves the display of intellectual capabilities thus bringing out the best in the participants. She hoped that this display of wits will motivate parents to encourage their wards to participate.
