Kenya: Fund Agricultural Research

Nairobi — During the 10th biennial Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (Kari) conference, which opened yesterday, the researchers said more funds would help unlock the country's largely untapped agricultural potential, while better pay would help retain experienced researchers in the civil service.

These are useful suggestions that the Government should heed. For certainly, no country can feed its people adequately without embracing science and technology, hence the need to inculcate modern farming methods in farmers so they can maximise production.
