Africa: 'Marketing a Problem in African Olympic Committees'

Harare — SPORT marketing is still proving to be an Achilles' Heel for most National Olympic Committees in Africa who still depend heavily on government funding.

This emerged from a presentation made by the secretary-general of the Nigerian Olympic Committee, Olabanji Oladapo, at the 23rd seminar for the secretary-generals of the African National Olympic Committees which was held in Blantyre, Malawi, from November 8-10.
