Johannesburg — ZIMBABWE has submitted its first human rights report in eight years to the African Union's (AU's) African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights, defending itself vigorously against accusations of gross abuses.
The belated move shows how lightly Zimbabwe takes human rights issues despite being one of the countries widely accused by the international community of being a bastion of repression.
