Mozambique: Earthquake in Central Mozambique

Maputo — An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale struck the Machaze region, in the central Mozambican province of Manica, on Monday night.

Data from the National Geology Directorate indicate that the tremor occurred at about 22.00 in an area that is known to be seismically active.
