The strike at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino (WCCR) finally came to an end yesterday after the hotel management and the Namibia Food and Allied Workers Union (Nafau) signed a wage increase agreement.
The hotel management after receiving a mandate from its board of directors decided to meet the workers' demands halfway. The strike, which held out for eight days, threatened to paralyze more operations at the four-star hotel.
