Angola: Basketball - Petro-Atlético Reach Semi-Finals of Champions Cup

Luanda — Petro de Luanda have qualified for the semi-finals of the winners cup of male senior basketball taking place in Lagos, Nigeria, after beating, Friday, its counterpart Plateau Peak by 78-53.

The visiting team became the first Angolan to reach this phase. 1º de Agosto are playing, Friday night, Zenith of Cote D'Ivoire.

In the last round of the groups phase Wednesday, Petro de Luanda defeated Kenya Commercial Bank by 95-54, whereas 1º de Agosto defeated ESPN of South Africa, 97-62.

Playing for the quarter-final are Dodan Warriors of Nigéria-ESPN, ABC of Côte d'Ivoire Inter of Congo. Kenya Commercial Bank disputes 11th and 12th places.

BC Onatra (RD Congo) and Back (Guinea Conakry) will be playing Africa Sports (Côte d'Ivoire).
