The Deputy Manager of the Addis Abeba City Government Health Bureau has been suspended from work after receiving a letter from the Mayor's Office, which stated her services were no longer needed at the Bureau. Three other Bureau workers were also suspended.
The Deputy Manager, Dr. Etagegn Getahun, told Fortune that she received the letter without any prior warning or notification. She said that she was taken by surprise as she did not have any idea why she was being suspended.
