Kampala — NO Ugandan should be robbed of opportunity on account of their sex, health or status.
To make sure of this, Syda Bbumba , the gender, labour and social development minister, last week tabled the Equal Opportunities Commission Bill 2006 for second reading in Parliament.
She said the Equal Opportunities Commission would be a one-stop centre where issues of discrimination and marginalisation would be addressed.
Bintu Jalia Abwooli, the chairperson of the standing committee on equal opportunities, said the Bill would help protect the most vulnerable Ugandans.
