Nigeria: Benue Killings - Plateau Cummunity Indicts Police

Jos — The Aliade community in Plateau State has cried out over last weekend's killings in their native land in Benue State which they said left about 10 people dead, accusing the mobile police force of carrying out a massacre in the town.

The people have therefore called on President Olusegun Obasanjo to declare a state of emergency in the state as well as institute a probe into the actions of the police in what it called the "Aliade Massacre."
