Uganda: Luweero Vows to Make Museveni Pay in 2011?

Luweero — Luwero made Museveni and the current NRM government. Had it not been for this largely peasant and remote area in the heartland of Buganda kingdom, the political equation of Uganda and its current leaders would probably have been much different. This is partly why at the start of his campaign for re-election early this year President Yoweri Museveni made the famous "pilgrimage to the Mecca of the NRM."

But today the local leaders and the government stand on a renewed war path. They accuse the government, "which they helped bring to power" of abandoning them and letting them wallow in unimaginable poverty while those who contributed less swim in prosperity.
