Somalia: Waterborne Diseases Kill Children in Southern Somalia

Mogadishu — Three children are reported to have died from malaria-related diseases in Kuntuwarey in Lower Shabelle province, southern Somalia.

A number of children are also sick in tiny villages like Mustaqbal, Towfiq and Keeraay in Kuntuwarey district, where torrential rains and the floods that followed ruined many homes and affected the livelihood of residents in the area.
