Nigeria: Human Rights Group Tasks Ijaw Youth Council

Lagos — Ijaw Human Rights Organization (IHRO) has called on the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), to show more to commitment to the struggle for the advancement of Ijaws by electing credible and consistence leaders to pilot the affairs of the body, even as it commended the contribution of Chief Government Ekpomupolo for his selfless contribution to the growth of Ijaw nation.

The body in a statement signed by its President Comrade Koremene Festus, its Public Relations Officer (PRO) Ubebe Felix, Moses Jonny mobilization officer and Thompson Tinubu publicity secretary respectively in and made available to Daily Champion, it said that the IYC is a sub-body existing under the broad umbrella of Ijaw National Congress (INC) with main aim to watch and correct any injustices done to the people of Ijaws and the entire Niger Delta region, having known the impediment that befall the Ijaws in Nigeria and in Diaspora.
