Ethiopia: MoH Says Introduction of DOTS Raising Number of TB Patients Visiting Hospitals

Addis Ababa — The number of TB patients visiting hospitals is growing as the Directly Observed Treatment Short-course (DOTS) Strategy designed by the government to combat the disease is proving successful, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said.

TB and Leprosy Prevention and Control Department Acting Team Leader with the Ministry, Dr.Getachew Wondimagegn, said the strategy launched to curb tuberculosis in the country a decade ago is bearing fruit.
