Kenya: Private Schools Take Most Places in National Intake

Nairobi — Candidates from private schools and academies who sat last year's Kenya Certificate of Primary Education got the lion's share of the total admission in all of the 18 national schools in the country.

National Schools' Principals and Head teachers expressed reservation saying the developing trend in form one admission was worrying and if this policy does not change, it might render the free education programme in the country meaningless.
