Nigeria: Namasa Moves to Finance Indigenous Ship Owners

Ogun — Leadership of the National Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NAMASA) has revealed that it is discussing with banks and industry operators to assist indigenous shipowners on ship financing.

NAMASA's Head of Public Relations, Ms Ego Nwokocha said in Lagos, that the organisation held different fora with the Access Bank, Chamber of Shipping and other stakeholders last year to make funds available to indigenous shipowners to expand their fleet.
