Nairobi — Tanzania has approved the importation of 85,000 tonnes of sugar to bridge a deficit in the local market.
Matthew Kombe, the managing director of the Sugar Board of Tanzania, told The EastAfrican last week that 23,720 tonnes had already been imported by last December.
